We are training a WebAssembly-powered matting model that precisely masks every GIF frame. While it bakes, you can achieve solid-colour keying by combining existing tools:

  1. Use GIF to PNG to export frames.
  2. Batch remove backgrounds in Photopea or remove.bg (supports PNG transparency).
  3. Rebuild the GIF with the upcoming PNG to GIF maker.

You can also key out a single colour today by combining Optimize GIF (custom palette) with manual colour replacement.
